This hand blown Hurricane and Vase collection is marbled with colored specks of glass resulting in a festive confetti pattern. When used as candle hurricanes, light bounces through the clear bits and shines at different intensities through the different shades of glass. All styles are also beautiful used as vases, with a nice heft for large, branchy arrangements. For use as hurricanes we recommend partially filling with sand or pebbles so a candle sits evenly. Each piece is unique.
An African decorating staple full of tradition, these beautiful chairs are made entirely by hand in rural Malawi and display great weaving craftsmanship passed from generation to generation. Each chair requires three to four days to create, and every chair is slightly different in shape and size.
Malawi chairs are handmade using rattan strips, which are woven into intricate patterns along the sides of the chairs and the seat. Rather than using glue, makers secure the strips with special knots.
